I mean, after all, how many Patriots fans really concern themselves with the front office's supposed good reputation or whatever? Especially concerning how one player's behavior might "soil" the entire organization's reputation.
Oh please.
And anyway, I don't have to remind you what "The Patriots Way" means to people across the country since the 1st game of the 2007 season. Man, talk about a reputation that's in need of some public image damage control.
Compared to that, whatever Brandon Spikes does is miniscule by comparison.
Know what I think I'm really seeing in the above post? I sense someone hiding behind the shield of The Patriots "Community Charity Division Office" & pointing a critical self righteous finger at a player.
And the way you describe his infractions make me sense that.
1. Drug use in college? All I've heard of is his smoking pot. That hardly qualifies as drug use. It's college, for crissakes. You're SUPPOSED to smoke pot. lol.
2. Self made porno movie? Really? What, he hired a whole film crew with leaders in the shadow industry holing up at his house?
All he did was set up a camcorder or cell phone and recorded himself gettin' down with a honey.
Again, who hasn't done THAT?
His posting it on the internet is his err in judgement.
But he sure didn't make a dang porno movie as you paint it. gawd.
Your word choices are critical and they betray you while you hide behind ye ol' Patriots Front Office Shield with your criticisms. I'm way slick sociologically anyhow & can decipher personality type from way down the block & around the corner.
And I'm calling shenanigans. The board has been infiltrated by an amish person. hee hee hee
How is he "self rightious" by pointing out that the FO will most certainly have concerns about this? It sounds like you have an agenda. And a hypocritical one at that.

The only place it honestly blew up was here on this forum. Yeah I heard it on the sports radio and news. But they were laughing about. I guarantee BB doesn't give a crap. And I would say none of his teammates care. They weren't even asked about it during press conferences.

Oh 4 articles and 16 total comments. Yeah it really blew up!
Exactly. Why should people on this forum, PatsFANS, be complaining about one of Spikes tweets when no one else, even people who aren't fans of New England don't even care??
I could see why there may have been a little uproar about the bathtub tweet, but come on, a guy can't "crack" a joke every now and then??
Yessir, pun's intended.

Stevan Ridley. Bringing back the art of running the football back to New England since 2011.

Complaing? I could care less what he does. I say much worse things on a daily basis. Nobody cares tho.The point being made is that the FO, based in past incidents, probably does cares. And I only posted 4 site out dozens of sites, only to point out that it is well known that he posted a drug reference in a anti drug organization., joke or not. If thats a fail, I dont give a $h!t about that either.

Re: Just when you thought Brandon Spikes was getting smarter
I'm not reading all 12 pages of this thread I've avoided the past week....up to now. I'm surprised its hasn't dropped off the first page. Its pretty simple, your're either upset at the post or you're not.
I'm not angry that he made the post, just disappointed. Sort of like a dad whose kid just made an inappropriate remark in a group setting, while trying to be funny. If he was a private individual it wasn't bad enough to be noteworthy. However he's a public person, a member of the Patriots, and his team has an "image" they'd like to put forward. Spikes' post could be viewed as damaging that image. Spikes, at some point, has to "get" that.....if he wants to remain a Patriot. Maybe its not important to him.
Inappropriate and unnecessary are the 2 words that come to mind when I think about this. Eventually he's going to have to start to grow up. Next season will be his "contract year". Hopefully we won't be using the terms "inappropriate and unnecessary" in association with Brandon Spikes next year.
