Default Rex Ryan...keeps his mouth shut?

This can't be Rex Ryan. It is most unlike him to not guarantee a SB win/ appearance.

I think he knows his team could be very average or worse next year since the Jets are unlikely to make a splash in free agency.

That said, I thought I saw a quote from him last week where he was talking Super Bowl.

I'm thinking the same thing. I was kind of hoping he would guarantee a SB win...and fail again.

I don't doubt that. With Rex Ryan he's always talking super bowl. Just talk

Going 8-8 again would be a successful season for them.

That's NOT keeping his mouth shut. That's finding a way to spend several hundred words saying that he's not going to say something, and then talking about his past mistakes. It is no less egotistical and self centered than in the past.

And how does he define "great things?"

Now that he is shutting up maybe the Jets quietly make noise.......hopefully not.

That's only 14 games. Of course, we can always hope for them to go winless but then Wrecks would lose his job and we don't want them hiring a competent head coach. I'm fine with them missing the playoffs regardless of record.

by god you're right! I forgot about those last 2 games! I figured that they would just forfeit the rest of the season :P

he ran his big mouth AGAIN...about not running his big mouth...what needs to be done is for SOMEONE (I'm looking at YOU, Ex-Jet Roger) to put the clamps on this idiot's weekly blabberfests and shameless mugging for the cameras and press...coach football and shut your goddamned mouth about other teams...
