You misunderstood Clayton. He wasn't talking about them playing football together. He was talking about them being partners on Dancing with the Stars.

They actually did discuss this on Saturday but were talked out of it when a choreographer couldn't put together a routine with just hand-over-hand rolling motions, moon-the-crowd booty shakes and split-the-defense hand jive.

Pity.

Culpepper? Isn't he already our Defensive Line Coach? Oh, no, wait a minute that's Pepper Johnson.

Oh, so you meant Daunte Culpepper? Yeah, sure, I remember him. Yeah, yeah, he did some really cool things, uh, back then, when he, uh, did them. Listen, if Randy wants to bring along a posse, that's fine by me. Wasn't he a Corner Back? We're a little light there and maybe he could help out...

i just heard that the deal between the pats and daunte is "imminent"

it will prob happen any second now...but b/c of the great amount of interest that daunte recieved from other teeams, the pats upped the contract to 5 yrs for 60m, with 30m gauranteed, and 18mil signing bonus...

hey, ill pay ANYTHING to get daunte

If we can give up Brady, our first pick and maybe just Welker or someone to get Culpepper I think that would be an absolute steal. I can see him signing for a discount too, somewhere around 15 years, 160$ million dollars with hopefully only half of that guaranteed up front.

Seriously, if the Pats FO can't pull off this deal then we're screwed and Moss will most likely be a total malcontent having to deal with Tom "6th round" Brady for the next 3 years.

Well, he's big, old and slow. There's potential.

I'm tired of the Patriots jerking at our heartstrings like this. If they don't step up and get the Culpepper contract signed, I am DONE with this team. I know you all will say I'll be back, but honestly I can't take one more betrayal from this incompetent front office.

This offseason has already been slow torture, and to lose out now on the crown jewel of the free agent class is just asking too much of my patience. If I see Culpepper in a Jets uniform next year, I think heads have got to roll. Hear me BB and Pioli, you're on the hot seat over this one!!!!
