While all records are extremely diffucult to break for obvious reasons, as crazy as it sounds, I think many of us are undervaluing the diffuculty of what Moss accomlished. The record he broke, Rice's 22 TDs, were a mythical number that many thought would never be threatened, let alone eclipsed. It was always seen as one of the unreachable records, an anamoly of a season courtesy of the GOAT WR. Those 22 TDs stood alone and far away with the next closest TD totals being 17-18, NO ONE had even come close to make this a debate, even Rice didnt come close. In an average year, the leading WR in touchdowns gets about 13-14 TDs...the record(now 23) is so out of range that it requires specific things to fall in line. You need the rare talent, and from day 1, its been Moss who people have said had that talent. Then you would need that talent to be put in the right position with the right QB.
I just think too many people have been caught up debating how many games Rice got his 22 in, whether what Moss did was more impressive etc...In reality, we arent appreciating that Moss was the first guy ofher than Rice in '87 to eclipse 20 TD receptions, and actually made us think about Rice's record being in jeopardy. IMO, unless Moss outdoes himself, I think this record will stay in the books for aLOOOOOONG time.

Actually, of these 3 records, the perfect season is the one that happens least frequently.
Dont get me wrong, I'm not comparing records. The 16-0 is obviously the most diffucult, but as a result its the one everyone is talking about, so I dont think I need to mention is diffuculty. With Moss is record it seems more people are consumed with how many games he did it in and arent realizing the diffuculty of getting 23 TDs. IMO, while both records should be around for a while, I think Brady's is more likely to fall.

I can't see any of these records being beaten in the near future.....Most importantly the 16-0 PERFECT SEASON.....But even Brady's TD record and Moss' 23 TD's in a season......But you never know.....records were made to be broken I guess......
They'll be broken - but as Moss said, Rice's record stood for a long time so I doubt it'll be broken right off the bat. The only real threat is the fact that more teams will likely be doing more and more throwing but, yeah, getting two Hall of Fame players like Brady and Moss is what it'll take and that's rare.
I think it was just the coolest thing that Brady and Moss tied and broke their individual records together.

Of the three records, Brady's TD record is, IMO, most likely to be broken in "the near future". Afterall it didn't take Brady long to surpass Peyton's 49.
But hell, it could be Brady who breaks his own record and Moss who breaks his own as well!

I mean, I think they will "go after it". I mean, which football players, if asked, would say "no, I don't think I'd like to set that record."?
That being said, in TO's best season he recorded 16 TDs (2001). This year he came very close with 15 TDs. To put it in perspective, 23 is ~30% more than 16.

That was beyond cool...it was very symbolic of how one could not have been done without the other. An amazing moment in NFL history, 2 records that may stand for a while being broken on the same play.
