Brady is using the same tactics as Rex Ryan. They both tell players that they are elite, causing these players to feel like they don't need to work as hard. The difference is that Brady does it to opponents, while Rex does it to his guys

I really wish people here would acknowledge that there is more to this league than Tom Brady (and peyton). Carson is more than capable of carving up the pats defense.

No he's not. He's a shell of his former self, and he has only a couple folks he can lean on to make plays. he can't throw it long, and it's to be seen whether he becomes the next Bledsoe, holding it to long to make a play, listening to the sound of feet getting closer, and ending up on every third play on his back, with the pass intercepted and some linebacker running it in for 6.

Palmer would make an excellent back up, but he's nothing more than a JAG QB these days.
