Really, I don't blame Borges for voicing his opinion at the time. We all do. The sad part of this is that to this day, Borges believes that he was right and Belichick was wrong, and that Belichick happened to get lucky.

I think the funniest thing about this quote is that I heard him on a radio show a couple years back and a caller asked if he will admit he was wrong on that quote. He said no because he was "right at the time" he wrote this. Huh?!?

So eventhough Seymour is an elite player and three of the four players he thought we should have gotten are out of football and the other just got cut from the team that drafted him, he was right at the time. Considering Matt Light took two games to start for the Pats, I guess he was right about him for a good three or four months.

Thanks for bringing this back. Everybody has been wrong about players they liked. I'm still waiting for Adrian Klemm to get healthy, becasue when he does, I AM SURE, he'll beat out Matt Light so he can move to LG and get to the Pro Bowl.

But this statement by Borges is SOOOOO wrong on SOOOOO many levels that it should be elevated into the pantheon of WRONGNESS. Thanks again

BTW it IS frightening how far Borges' arrogance went. before this thread, I never knew he responded to a question about this remark with "I was right then". Man that is pure chutzpah. In fact that is the DEFINITION of chutzpah
