Brian Robinson out of Texas-Austin had himself quite a combine.

Carriker's times in the shuttle are absurd. Tied for second on the bench as well. Looks like he's doing nothing but improving his stock.

Just to remind everyone, it doesn't matter who runs the fastest in a straight line or jumps the highest in shorts. The draft is not about taking the best sprinter or bench presser, but the best FOOTBALL PLAYER.

Check out Quincy Black's stats. Listed in the LB category, but played a hybrid LB/Safety postion in college. Big, fast ...maybe a safety that can hang with the TEs

Here's an interesting factiod I spotted while perusing several draft sites. One site had a list of the all time best combine times in the various drills. It was very interesting to see that in most drills, the best times were recorded by guys I never heard of, or who had minimal careers. The one drill that seemed to have the most reality between time and career success was the 3 cone drill. BTW-old "friend" Deon Branch had the second best time, ever in that drill. So did a number of other very good players.

Again what surprised me the most was how FEW great players were among those top times.

EXACTLY. Beware of wasting picks on workout warriors who don't know how to play championship-level football.

He did, but he stumbled some on some of the DLman drills, and showed that "he has feet for hands" in trying to catch the ball. Not a huge deal for his position, but ...............

She sure was quick and fast though. I wonder how he plays on game day.
