It was a fun week in the contest as well as on the field. For all the fear of San Diego, relatively few picked against the Pats and many were pretty close to the final score. Most weeks missing by only a TD would have put you near the top (or even won), this week it made you tied for 26th through 34th places.
That's also partly due to the many new players, new members of the board drawn by the excitement of the Predict the Score Contest. (The Patriots' performance might have helped, too
) So it's fitting that two of the top three were first-timers. Old hand PATSNUTme turned in his best performance of the season, missing by just a point, as did upstater1 in his first contest entry. An even more auspicious first entry was turned in by this week's winner...
