It seems that the following areas still could benefit from a veteran addition by a signing or a trade.
1) outside linebacker or passrusher
I still suspect that Burgess will be back. Somehow, I would think that he could beat out one of Ninkovich or Crable for a roster spot.
2) running back
I see Green-Ellis as useless, since he didn't even play much when we had two injuries. The time of Morris could also be over. There is no NEED to bring in someone, but almost anyone would be an upgrade over Green-Ellis. I think that a short-yardage specialist or a fullback would both help the team. If a healthy general purpose back is brought in as a backup, then both Morris and Green-Ellis could be cut. We really only need four running backs.
3) quarterback
We can always consider a veteran as our #2 or #3. Obviously, this isn't a high priority.

This is a very short list. Our roster is stacked! We have both solid starters and solid depth. And we have the best GM, HC, DC and OC in the business. Unfortunately, one person is all of those.

I'll take Jared Allen as our Pass Rusher
Adrian Peterson as our Running Back
Peyton Manning as our Backup Quarterback
Can we do this?
