Brees condition going forward is the wild card in all this. But I think Rodney is commenting based on his personal experiences with the organization and their decision making track record. They gave up on him and got nothing in return, and it turned out his 2 best seasons at least were ahead of him. And given the dearth of even competent QB's in the league, and the fruitlessness of fielding a team without one, you really do have to wonder if the Chargers know something we don't or if they once again just made a really stupid and potentially franchise altering decision.
