The fact that Tully is missed as our big pass rusher says it all. And how many snaps did Thomas get last night ? I know I didn't notice him much.

The fatal flaws of this team that will prevent them from winning it all, as in the previous few seasons, as compared to the championship teams, are that they can't run effectively between the tackles with a RB that can break multiple tackles, and also have a defense that can make critical stops at the ends of games at a championship level. This could all change by the time the playoffs come with Taylor/Morris coming back, and hopefully improved pass rush and coverage, but it's pretty clear to see the difference between the '01, '03, '04 teams and the recent teams. This team is too offensive heavy and relies too much on Brady, where those championship teams were more balanced with the running game, and could make critical stops on defense.

TBC would have been helpful, but the strength of this team is their rotation... when you take Warren, Green and TBC out of it.. the rotation gets weaker.

We lament the lack of pass rush, or the lack of sacks... but we ran out of gas late, interestingly Seau did not play...

Im not talking about blitzing. Im talking about a pass rusher that can force pressure using just a 4 man line.

Totally agree

I haven't liked the Seymour trade since it happened and I still wish he was here

Even if those guys do pan out, they are the same breed of d-lineman that has made our 4-man rush useless. We need a true edge rusher.

TBC is our best pass rusher... He has improved, but all you really need to say is that he's far and away our best. I'd be interested in seeing Adalius do more on the end.

You have to wonder if Banta Cain had not been injured and he had sacked Manning or pressured him into bad throws would BB have had more confidence in punting and letting the Colts get the ball back at thier own 20 or so.

I do agree that unless Burgess or someone steps up and provides continuous pass pressure to the QB and happens soon this team is going NOWHERE in the playoffs...thats a 100% guarantee.

No team has ever won a Super Bowl by letting opposing QBs have 4 or more seconds to find open receivers.

That talk is ridiculous. Burgess was lights out last night.. he was pressuring Manning time and time again.

We got a lot of pressure on Manning, even without Warren, TBC, and Ninkovitch.

QTF - DB seemed to finally join the team last night.

TBC being our best pass rusher says a lot, he's good, above avg. but is not the answer.

I'm interested in seeing if the young guys work out because if they do BB is more likely to take a pass rushing OLB. His history says he doesn't like drafting OLB's and if the new guys don't work out he'll take a D-lineman thats his HX.

Personally i love watching pass rushers at work i would be thrilled if we took one in the draft, or sign one as a FA.

As far as AD goes hes become a major dissapointment, maybe Baltimore new something when they chose to let him hit the market.
