Not to suggest that we have an easy task ahead but that was a very cold, windy, gusty night. Ryan presents problems - and opportunities - but this Sunday the conditions will be far more favorable for our offense.
Back in 2007, the Ravens wound up and delivered probably as hard a blow as Tom Brady and Patriot offense sustained through their 16-0 regular season. Then-Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan was behind it all. And he was also behind a timeout that negated a fourth-down stop that would've ended the Patriots' unbeaten run.
'nuff said, skippy. Just sayin'... and he's not the DC of the Ravens anymore. He's the HC of the NYJ (sucker) whose owner has spent the last decade desperately trying to find a HC who can hold that nutcase BB's jock.
I realize you pay a price for going national, and Breer is no exception. He now panders to an audience.

Correctomundo, Mo!
I'd also like to point out that the Patriots are nor the Texans, either, amd mow that the opening day jitters are worked out, that new young feller, what's his name, Sandy? Sanford? Sunkist? QB'ing for the Jets, might find it a little more difficult on Sunday.
Oh yeah.. Sanchez..... heh..
I expect the Jets to put up some points. I just expect that New England will put up more.

Yeah, it was 40 degrees with 27MPH winds (windchill was 29 degrees) at gametime in 2007. Sunday's forecast for the Meadowlands is 72 degrees with 7 MPH wind.
Also suspect that Sanford, or whatever his name is, will see some things that he is not prepared for... BB is the master of confusing rookie QB's... Sanford is not going to Canton just yet.

IIRC the 27 MPH winds were also gusting higher than that. Maybe it seemed worse at the time but I remember they were making a real big deal of the wind on the broadcast.

Honestly, the only reason that game was a game was b/c the refs let the Ravens CBs get away with murder.
You know, i was p!ssed at the blatant fouls the refs were letting Baltimore get away with. However, I got ANGRY when I watched the tape again and saw just HOW many times that stuff happened.
I know that, in every game, there will be a couple iffy calls, and a couple or three missed calls, That's human nature. It's a BIG field and the refs can't be or see everywhere. However, THAT game was a really frustrating time because you could SEE the fouls happening as wellas SEE the ref looking right at it and not calling it.
When the TV booth guys are pointing it out and asking questions, you KNOW something is up.
