The comeback here would be "yeh, against second and third stringers". His OL blockers were second and third stringers...A wash!
Alright...Here is a new one. It is F.O. ego if Maroney gets significant carries in the season after what he has shown. He must be one hell of a practice day warrior. In games..yuk.
Oh brother. Here we go again.

Have you bothered to read Box's play recaps? Judging by your "analysis," I think we know the answer. How many running plays has Maroney been in on where there hasn't been a breakdown in the run blocking? I eagerly await your answer.

You know what's funny? BJGE is likely to get cut or PUP'ed, while Maroney will continue to see PT. It's reminiscent of your (continuous and laughable) vendetta against Sanders.

I can barely tell what you're trying to say here, but maybe because he's a veteran learning a new system? As for why not Brandon Marshall, I think that's plainly evident.

He actually does make plays. Here's the surest tackler in the secondary and the last line of defense -- a job he does quite well. We get it. You don't like him. Build yourself a bridge and get over it, already.

1)Maroney needs more carry. He got 3 and in the first the right side line was collapsed and the DE and DT where in the backfield at hand off. THe only time they opened a space he got 5.

2)Sanders did a good job and might have been the best safety out their in this game. He was tackling benson once he got through the DL and ILB in a few runs. He stopped the bleeding every time and was stopping benson from getting into the Backfield. He made alot of plays from stopping benson from his home runs. Merriweather was lopping around .Sanders was on coverage and did a okay job of tackling and sticking with his man.gown caused a fumble but he was playing against backups.

3)I think wheatley has regressed a bit. He was matched against a tall WR .In game situation he will be a backup.

4)The obession with edelman came back to ground for most fans.He seems slower than wes so i really think he will be cut.

5)For all the screaming for a 350lb LT ,light was downfield on both wes long run and taylor`s screen.....maybe people appreciate the need for a 300 lb tackle than a 350 lb tackle who will be slower and not able to do downfield blocking.this applys for dan koppan and most OL we have.

6)Guyton and Mayo gave up some mass .A reason we switched to 4-3 as soon benson got more yds /carry .The gaurds had success against guyton. It was good to see him in their. i see he needs to learn a bit of how to handle gaurds .Bru in the second team had some success against gaurds. You can see bru shed gaurds but guyton back pedalling. Sanders clearly was their to close the run.

7)Aiken has better hands and i am thinking he can be the 4th WR and Nunn 5th guy.

8)Alex smith cannot block and i do not think he makes the team.Graham was a blocker and was not a big move, speed guy and we eventually let him go.

9)Did not see baker do anything but again the eagles had their 2nd and 3rd backup due to injuries and baker looked against backups.I wanted to see him against a starting LB. Will he do what watson did to calvin pace i doubt it as he is slower than watson.

Also, "regression" is probably overrated. Players usually are what they are. Differences from year to year are more dramatic in football because the sample sizes are relatively small.

I'm not a huge Maroney supporter, but I have to agree. Zolak criticized him for the one hesitant run (on which he lowered his shoulders and gained five yards). On second look, Maroney did a good job of getting what he could, dodging defenders in the backfield. Also, nice play to evade a defender on his pass reception and get a first down.

The second-team O-line did him no favors.

Did you have to spell "Shakespeare?"
