Hopefully his conditioning is fine.

I would expect him to play a few snaps. I think he has been in the league long enough for him to pick up quickly a good portion of the play book to be able to play thurs. With his limited time in a system similar to ours I think BB would want as much game situation as he can to better gage what kind of role would be best for him.

I am trying to remember if Ted Washington played in the first exhibition game after acquiring him. I don't believe he did. In fact, I think he missed the first two but I could be entirely wrong.

That said, I doubt we see Burgess this week. Let him get in here for Sunday, get some reps this week and then turn it up for the 2nd game.

as I cant remember if Ted played back then or not I am going to go more recent and say that I do recall Lynch geting time the first game he was here.

I expect Burgess to get some time.

Washington played only two or so days after being traded for. That was week 3 of pre-season though, so maybe it was more necessary.

why in the world would they bring a guy who hasn't even been to training camp in and play him this soon??? not happening.

I'd expect him on the sideline in street clothes paying close attention to what his teammates are doing in what situations on defense getting acclimated from a distance to how things are going to go for him when he does suit up.
