Agreed. "Combined individual scores" doesn't specify how they were combined (sum and average).

For winning, they all get flat screen TVs. Hurray, take that other rookies no flat screen TVs for you!

Good for the Pat rookies, I am just saying they had to be the odds on favorites.
Combined is not the same as summed. Summing is only one way of combining scores of individuals. Another way is to combine scores is by taking their average, which I'm sure what was done here without knowing more information.

32 inch HDTVs to 12 players. I wonder if the 7 players last year got 55 inch TVs?

Kevin O'C also won an IPod for his personal performance on the Ultimate Rookie exam.
Quote:
In addition, O’Connell (who finished finishing fourth overall out of the 252 rookies) was also awarded an iPod for his personal performance on the exam.
Interesting info about the symposium itself too, and how seriously the NFL takes the attendance, though I kind of agree with Troy Smith about Goodell even though it probably wasn't the wisest thing to say :
Quote:
A fight broke out between two rookies last season, one of whom was defensive back Aqib Talib. Tennessee running back Lendale White raised eyebrows when he asked this question during a session dealing with homophobia. And a few years back, Baltimore quarterback Troy Smith challenged NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, asking Goodell why he chooses to focus on all the negative things the players do, and then pressed the commissioner when Smith believed Goodell didn’t sufficiently answer his question.
Great article Chris, thanks, and good for our boys

The second article about the NFL.com study's pretty interesting too, maybe a thread of it's own

Patriots making their dollars go further
The results of an extraordinary study unveiled this week reveal the Patriots spent $8.14 million a win between 2004 and 2008, the best dollar to win ratio in the NFL over that span.

Not trying to offend you but am I the only one who finds it weird that a Jets fan reads Reiss's blog?
