Default Broncos cut OLB Boss Bailey

O.K. You knew it had to happen,We are going to discuss another player getting cut and I usually don't start these threads on players released unless its in a position we can use depth and Boss's position at OLB is our biggest weakness on this team.

I think the Broncos cut him for cap reasons and he had a knee injury in November last year but still through 6 games he had a decent 40 tackles already and he is only 29 years old.

Boss only has 7 sacks in his 5 year career so he is not known too well as a sack machine or pass rusher so I dont know if BB will take a look at McDaniel's castoff.

What do you think about having Champ's brother in for a look?

I think the reason why some people like yourself get annoyed at threads like this is because we seldom see the Patriots picking up players that we do threads on. - Although Fred Taylor was not one of them, that worked out.

If we had signed the majority of people that were availiable and discussed here we wouldnt be here complaining about these types of threads.

This is the slowest time of the offseason for the next 6 weeks, you may see many more like this to come with players getting dumped more often during this time.

From the numbers on Rotoworld it looks like they just gave him a $2M roster bonus, and he was only scheduled to make $895,000 in salary. Is that right? If so, he's presumably toast (as is the Broncos' cap management).

Didn't Reiss in a chat say he had a season ending injury?

Guys, he's a 43 OLB. Far cry from what we need. If he were a solid player in the 34, Denver would have kept him. They might want our castoffs, but not the other way around. I know it's slow in this part of the offseason, but let's retain a little common sense.

When I was younger and lived for sports I never missed the transaction column in the Globe. This type of post in a sports forum fits it to a T. Depending on the player that gets cut, one of the first responses of a Patriot fan is..........hmmmmmmm, red, white, & blue?
Heck, one a decent player gets cut I'll come here to see the responses.

Same here.

It's off season, post draft, pre Training Camp. What else is there football wise to talk about?
