Default Speculation: Rodney to the Falcons?

From Reiss's football notes yesterday:
Rule has special significance - The Boston Globe

Quote:
No takers
It's been a humbling trip into free agency for former Patriots safety Lawyer Milloy, who has yet to land with a new club and is probably at the stage where he'll be playing for veteran minimum money. The Falcons decided not to re-sign the 35-year-old Milloy after three seasons, and will instead see if 2008 third-round draft choice Thomas DeCloud can seize the job. If DeCloud falters, one down-the-road option the Falcons might consider is Rodney Harrison, who might be enticed by playing in the city in which he lives year round.

It's nothing but speculation. I'm not sure why Atlanta would replace one old Safety who can't cover anymore with another one unless Rodney would be cheaper. Either way, it looks like Rodney may be done here unless we come out of the draft without a Safety then maybe they'd give him a call.

He does live in ATL in the off season. Many pro athletes do.

Is it still 4:1 in Atlanta?

The Falcons just released a old safety (Milloy) similar to Harrison. I saw this crap on rotoworld and was hoping nobody would bring this up.

I think Rodney is done and he knows it. This offseason Rodney has done more media and I think he is heading in that direction once he is done playing.

Didn't he want to be a ref at one point too? That could be another possibility down the road.

He will clearly stay involved with the game somehow. He is very well spoken and charismatic, so I think he can stick on TV if he wants to.
