This is a nice overview of all of our free agents and guys from other teams and their current status. It's up-to-date enough to show Matt as franchised.
I was skimming it for guys at positions of need who might fall into the high-value, reasonable $$$ category but I don't know enough about players on D on some o the smaller-market teams.

Any stand-outs that have "Pats" written on them?
So where's the list? Link please.

I didn't realize Owen Daniels was a RFA. If we end up with a bunch of picks from trading Cassel, Daniels could be a great addition (with the assumption it didn't cost a ton in the pick department).

I agree he'd be a nice addition, but the Texans should probably give him the highest tender, meaning he'd cost us too much.
2009 NFC Free Agents 2009 AFC Free Agents
Each listed is sorted team then players last name. Its a nice list but doesn't give any of the players a rating like some other sites do e.x. 4/5 stars, stats, or bio so unless you know these players gotta do some googling.
Its a great list, but still has some errors on it.
1) Jason Peters - LT - Buffalo - is a UFA and isn't on the list. He only signed a one year franchise deal last year.
2) Darian Barnes - FB - Is a UFA not an RFA with 7 years experience and he actually ended the season on the Saints roster. Not Buffalo's.
3) They don't list Lonie Paxton, Rosie Colvin or Junior Seau under the list of UFAs for the Pats.
So who do folks think is potentially of interest to the Pats from this list (other than resigning their own)?
My 2 cents:
Jim Leonhard, S- the Ravens have other priorities this offseason, and Dawan Landry is easier for them to retain as a RFA.
Jabari Greer, CB- Pats seem to sign some vet CBs every year. He's decent, & Buffalo may let him walk.
Sean Jones, S- another decent to good vet for the secondary. Eliminates the need to draft a safety?
Andra Davis, LB- to take over for Bruschi (rather than have 2 young pups in there at the same time).
Willie McGinest, LB- to retire. Damn I love me some Willie though.
Patrick Ramsey, QB- vet backup if O'Connell is not ready to be #2 and Cassel is gone.
Owen Daniels, TE (RFA)- I really like him but how much would he cost?
Jeff Saturday, C - no way in heck it happens, but he's still very good and it would p1ss off a Manning.
Eric Barton, LB - Jest will need to cut salary somewhere (see also Poteat, Hank)
Nnamdi Asomugha, CB - The crown jewel of this offseason (assuming we are not in the market for Albert Haynesworth), a longshot but I hope they at least give him a call.
Darren Sproles, RB - probably won't get away from San Diego, but would look good as the next Kevin Faulk
Bo Scaife, TE - slightly better than reliable

I'm in the Greer camp too. Probably a nice affordable pick-up at CB and more upside than our recent crack-filler at the position.
About Sproles, I think he's good, but I have a feeling his shelf-life is not going to be anywhere near Faulk's.
