Time to talk special teams...
What on earth is going on with the kickoff coverage?
Pats-Colts: Big return allows Colts to retake momentum and lead with short field
Pats-Bills: Big return allows Buffalo to punch in a quick TD in the 4th to keep the score reasonably close
Pats-Jets: Leon Washington
Next thing I see, Ellis Hobbs is in on one of the kickoff tackles? Our primary CB and returner is now pressed into kickoff coverage?
On the flip side, our return teams look sub-par at best. Welker is lucky that he hasn't been popped with a concussion given how little time he has on punts, and Hobbs hasn't seen a hole for more than 20-30 yards on a return.
Anybody got any ideas as to what's going on in this area? Any obvious breakdowns or weaknesses?
