Default If we can't handle this loss...

i think there is more to come. i wont be surprised if we lost next 2 out of 3 against the broncos and colts and end up 4-4. I wanted the pats to split this trip and they did it.They just need to manage the season with what they have .There is no magic pill, whatever answers are there if any are in this group so suggestions cutting and benching players is going to end up a 3 man roster.
And we were in the same boat in 2005 when we won one game and lost 1 game including a blowout to the colts at home with brady.
The season hits crunch time after the colts game and if we go anywhere will be decided then. So brace for more nights like this
Once again iam not a cassel hater or giving up on the pats but lets be realistic before calling for heads of cassel,BB, AD and everyone else.
let hope the chargers beat the bills next week and oak beats the jets.

I prefer to hope the team takes care of business than to hope for division rivals to lose..it should not be that way unless you have no confidence in your teams ability to stay near the top of the division by means other than having the other teams in the division lose.

Unfortunately you are correct that Buffalo and the Jets have to go on losing streaks to keep NE in sight of the division lead because I don't think NE can handle thier own destiny this season - in fact I doubt it

If NE is to win this division at 9-7 then Buffalo and the Jets have to go 8-8 or worse - I don't see that

I think NE will be 2nd or 3rd in the division with Miami improving as well - The Jets are getting better aquainted with Favre every week and the Bills get Edwards back.

well i didnt imply we need those teams to lose for us to win the div. i jsut said , lets hope they lose.
my theory, the so called must win phase for the pats come after the colts game.We play the bills and jets back to back. and miami being good also means its no longer a gimme for bills or jets as well.

We can't afford to lose more than 1 more division game because I can almost guarantee we lose to Indy,Pittsburgh and Seattle (who should be much healthier by then) - that would give us 6 losses if we lost 1 more division game and against those 3 teams I mentioned above who all have quarterbacks that Matt Cassel could not even hold a jockstrap for them (Hasslebeck,Manning,Roethlisberger) while they put them on.

2 division losses would then mean 7 losses and that won't get it done.

Denver could very well beat us next week and that would mean 8-8 so this team could be as good as 10-6 or as bad as 8-8 IMO.

Our team sucks big time right now! BUT...I'm with them until I die. Bury me with a Pats jersey when I die.

Its not the loss but the way we are losing. If we lost 24-20 most fans can handle this but we were not really in the game.
There's no EMOTION from this team. They are sleep walking imo.

If 2001-2007 had never happened, to say we are 3-2, 1 game out of first, and can feel confident we win one of the next 3, we have the opportunity to play the Broncos and Colts. If we beat them we can get to the halway point 6-2 with at least a game plus tiebreaker lead over Indy for homefield, and the tiebreaker over Denver. Our worst case would be 1 behind Buff with 2 games left with them, we'd be feeling pretty good.

Instead, BECAUSE of 2001-2007 every loss is an unthinkable disaster and if we can lose 1 we can lose them all.

This fan base has gone from wanting to win to fearing losing.

well..iam not fearing losing...just wondering all these reactions about "BB..get a grip ..it was all brady" to "start o'connell" to "BB is responsible for not winning a SB since 2004"(yes i read one of those too). what will happen if we lose another game ? it is not impossible is it to lose one ?
iam disappointed in last nite's game but not really surprised. if anything i was surprised by the fact we were able to move the ball at all because i thought SD will come after cassel from all angles and shut us down.

trust me...if the score was 24-20 the pats would win....they rarely lose close games except maybe the last 2 playoffs. i was hoping a close pats win or a blowout loss.
