Default Stephen Gostkowski: The Perfect Day

It's a truism that no game, or player, is perfect. But today, the kicker was.

- 4 for 4 on field goals.
- 1 for 1 on PAT.
- 6 for 6 on kickoffs deep into the end zone. The first 5 were touchbacks, the 6th a frustration/desperation return that didn't cross the 20.

You literally cannot do better. Congratulations on perfection, Mr. Gostkowski!

This was building all preseason. Right now we have the the best place kicker in the NFL. It was a joy watching him kick @$$.

Great point. As Belichick alluded to in his press conference, there's no better kick coverage...

Gotta love seeing off-season award winners get off to such a great start -- hard work paying off!

And that we can credit to--to quote another poster here--Bubba the Human Bullet. I saw that tackle and knew before I saw the number just who was responsible.

It's always nice to know that when we need a tough 3 points, Gostkowski can deliver. I noticed Reiss indicating before the game that Gostkowski was warming up and easily hitting field goals from 56 yards. His kickoffs were booming!
