The Patriots on Saturday have swung another trade. They’ve traded QB Jacoby Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts for WR Phillip Dorsett.

With some serious injuries to Derek Rivers and Julian Edelman, that will open up two spots that we had as locks. Ditto for the release of Kony Ealy.

After a couple of spirited and tough practices against the Texans this week in West Virginia, the teams meet in a preseason game before doing it for real in Week 3 in Foxboro. Here are some of the things we’ll be watching for.

I love the job Austin Carr is doing so far in training camp. He’s done everything that they’ve asked from him and has outstanding hands

Garoppolo finished the night 22-28 for 235 yards and two touchdowns. His final three drives, 13-14 for 168 yards and a pair of TD passes

The team had a pair of shorts and shells practices the first two days of training camp to get things started but the intensity was dialed down a bit.

Carr made arguably the catch of the day with a beautiful leaping grab in the back of the end zone with a leaping grab over DB Will Likely.

What’s not to like about this position? Not very much. On paper, this unit looks as deep, talented and versatile as any group we’ve seen.
