I am giving you a 50-man roster because I believe they will be claiming some players off the Waivers.

Wow was that ugly.  Here are some thoughts and notes coming off that embarrassing loss Sunday night.

Drake Maye outplayed Jacoby Brissett by a mile on Sunday night at Commanders Stadium. Brissett lasted only the first series, hurt his shoulder on a sack, and got out of Dodge quick. He spent the rest of the game on the sideline with a headset on and not wincing in pain.

What am I going to look at in Sunday’s Pre-Season finale versus the Washington Commanders?

Maye has improved his game slowly but surely, especially since the Eagles game. He looks very comfortable running the offense

Head coach Jerod Mayo spoke to the media on Friday morning in his final press conference ahead of the preseason finale in Washington this weekend, with Mayo providing a little bit of insight into who Sunday night’s game might play out.

As the Patriots start getting ready to close out the preseason, it looks like they still have some question marks ahead of the regular season that could factor into next week’s roster cutdowns.

Lots can happen to the roster between now and September 8th when the Patriots face the Bengals. 

When the news broke about Brandon Aiyuk requesting a trade, the Patriots again clearly inquired and made a run at the wideout, but the lack of interest on Aiyuk’s behalf became apparent and the team again walked away from the deal.

While the new Guardian Caps we’ve seen players this preseason are there to help lessen the possibility of players suffering head injuries, it sounds like they served a different purpose on Sunday.

The Patriots are certainly lean at tight end right now, and it sounds like there’s a possibility they’ll be without a key name heading into week one.

With one more game to go before the 2024 exhibition season comes to an end, the New England Patriots will turn all of the attention to the Cincinnati Bengals, who the club will face on the road to kick off the season.

Former Patriots quarterback Mac Jones has gotten a fresh start down in Jacksonville, and so far, he’s certainly made the most of it.

Some quick thoughts following Thursday night’s second preseason game for the Patriots as they lost 14-13 to Philadelphia at Gillette Stadium.

There are jobs to be won and lost in this game.  Some players flourished while other failed miserably.  In two weeks, the final cutdown will come and some 18 players will be looking for employment elsewhere.

More Drake Maye. More Drake Maye. Everyone happy now?

eading into tonight’s game against the Eagles, Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo said earlier this week that rookie Drake Maye will see more time than he did last week after playing in just one offensive series against Carolina.

Brutal, that was the word Greg Bedard used to describe the joint practice weeben the Patriots and Eagles.  The Offensive line was truly offensive giving up a total of 14 sacks.  Many of those were on Drake Maye as he was indecisive and holding onto the ball.

The New England Patriots and Matthew Judon have spent much of this preseason at odds on a new contract extension, but it looks like the two sides will be parting ways.

Heading into the 2024 season, the Patriots clearly have issues along their offensive line that will likely complicate things until they get it figured out.
