The Patriots drafted another offensive lineman with their third selection on Day 3, selecting Eastern Michigan’s Sidy Snow with the 117th overall pick.
Sow is a beast. He’s 6’5″, 323lbs and he’s really powerful. But what really stands out on film is how well he moves for a guy his size. He’s extremely quick and athletic, which is surprising to see when you take into account how big he is. He ran a 5.11 40, which is pretty impressive, as well as a 4.69 shuttle.
He’s also got quick hands, and does a good job of making the first contact and blowing defenders back while not letting guys get inside of him. He’s pretty dominant and a tremendous presence and he’s got some versatility, having played both left tackle as well as guard in college.
Not everything was perfect, but Sow seems to have a tremendous amount of upside which, under new coach Adrian Klemm, will hopefully allow the Patriots to get the best from him.
But otherwise, it seems to be a pretty good pick while addressing an area of need up front as the Patriots continue injecting some youth onto their roster here on Day 3.
