The New England Patriots road to an improved 2023 season has some official dates for the start of off-season workouts.
On Friday, the team shared the spring timeframe of Gillette Stadium OTA (organized team activity) sessions.
All optional OTAs will wrap up in mid-June with a mandatory minicamp featuring up to three days of on-field work, as full squads will attend before a summer break in the lead-up to training camp.
These practice sessions will provide a first glance at newly signed/drafted players and possible new schemes under offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien and the rest of the coaching staff.
Every OTA and minicamp session will be closed to the public, but there will be limited media access to a handful of OTA practices and all of the minicamp.
Here is the complete tentative schedule:
First Day: April 17
Rookies: report immediately after the NFL Draft, which will occur April 27-29 in Kansas City.
(Optional) OTA Offseason Workouts: May 22-23, May 25, May 30-31, June 2, June 5-6, June 8-9
Mandatory Minicamp: June 12-14
