Significant and notable changes are coming for New England Patriots fans making the trip to Gillette Stadium next season.
In an email to season ticket holders, the team announced that for the first time in 15 years, ticket prices would see a 15% increase.
“As we prepare to return to a significantly enhanced Gillette Stadium later this year, we are looking forward to building on the incredible home-field advantage our Season Ticket Members have created here in Foxborough,” the message reads.
Despite the ticket increase, the Patriots also announced favorable new parking options to help improve traffic flow around route 1.
According to a press release, the team is eliminating its day-of-game parking fee collection and making the following adjustments that will take effect in August;
- Parking will be free in all stadium-owned general parking lots on the side of Route 1 across from the stadium and Patriot Place.
- Those who park at Gillette Stadium’s previously free 75-minute delayed-release lot will earn a $50 Visa gift card when they enter the parking lot. These gift cards will be distributed to the driver of each vehicle and you will be eligible to receive a gift card each time you take advantage of the delayed-release option.
- Season ticket holders will have the option to purchase an electronic and transferable season parking pass to guarantee access to a lot on the stadium side of Route 1, regardless of arrival time, for $225. That price amounts to $25 per game compared to $80 per game last season.
Lastly, because the Patriots will lose a home game due to international game scheduling in Frankfurt, Germany, all season ticket holders have received a 10% credit on their accounts.
In the past year, Gillette Stadium has been undergoing extensive renovations that will completely change the look of its north side and a likely contributor to the ticket increase.
