For much of Sunday’s game, it was a defensive battle between the Patriots and Jets, but with the clock winding down on regulation and the score still tied at 3, rookie defensive back Marcus Jones became the unlikely hero.
With 26 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Jones returned a Jets punt 84 yards for a touchdown to stun the longtime division rival and extend the Patriots’ winning streak.
On Tuesday, NFL Films shared footage from the Patriots’ sideline during the return and how Jones and his teammates celebrated.
