It wasn’t easy, but the New England Patriots pulled off yet another win over the New York Jets on Sunday for their third in a row to move to 6-4 on the season. The win marked the Patriots’ seventh straight season sweep over the Jets.
Notable moments from the game saw the defense turn in yet another dominating performance. Holding a team to three points for the second consecutive week and limiting the Jets to 103 total yards of offense.
Individually, linebacker Matthew Judon moved up to 13.5 sacks on the season for a career-high to continue his NFL lead. At his current rate, Judon is on pace for 22 sacks which would surpass Andre Tippett’s team record of 18.5 in a single season set in 1984.
With the score tied at three and under 30 seconds to play in the game, Marcus Jones became the unlikely hero for the Patriots following an 84-yard punt return for a touchdown to seal a 10-3 victory.
