Former New England Patriots defensive end Richard Seymour is back in Foxborough this weekend for his long-awaited induction into the team’s hall of fame.

On Friday, Seymour took part in the official fitting of the red jacket he’ll sport during the ceremony.

Prior to the fitting, head coach Bill Belichick was asked a few questions about Seymour during his morning press conference and offered up some high praise.

“When you look at those defenses, he was the centerpiece of the front,” Belichick said Friday. “He was the centerpiece, he was the most disruptive player. That’s why he’ll be in the Patriots Hall of Fame and that’s why he’ll probably eventually be in the NFL Hall of Fame, hopefully, this year.”

You can check out Belichick’s full comments courtesy of a tweet from NBC Sports Boston below.

By 12:45 est, Seymour had arrived at the Patriots Hall of Fame to try on his red jacket for the first time and spoke with reporters about his upcoming special day.
