On Saturday, Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft celebrated his 80th birthday and two of his longtime franchise players shared special celebratory posts over social media.
Julian Edelman and Tedy Bruschi each gave shoutouts to the longtime Patriots owner of 27 years over Instagram.
Meanwhile Bruschi shared an old photograph of the two of them together at training camp.
“Happy Birthday RKK! Seen me through so many different stages of my life. Always supportive, always there. Love ya! Have a great one!,” Bruschi wrote.
Back in 1994, Kraft purchased the Patriots for $172 million after the previous owner, James Orthwein nearly relocated the franchise to St. Louis.
Fast forward three decades, ten Super Bowl appearances, and six championships later, the Patriots are now worth almost $4 billion under Kraft’s ownership.
