In what will go down as maybe the most highly-anticipated matchup on the 2021 NFL schedule, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will be making his return to Foxborough for the first time since leaving the New England Patriots in free agency back in March of 2020.
The game is scheduled as Week four’s prime time “Sunday Night Football” showdown on October 3rd at 8:20pm.

To make the game even more intriguing, it also could be the same date Brady breaks the all-time NFL passing record, pending he averages about 288.8 passing yards per game over his first four starts.
Should that happen, Brady will surpass Drew Brees’ total passing yards mark of 80,358. Presently Brady sits second all-time with 79,204 career passing yards.
On Thursday morning, Brady tweeted out his first reaction to the matchup with a rather clever analogy.
