As NFL Free Agency opens up across the league, an unlikely source announced the latest New England Patriots signing.
Over Twitter Wednesday, the young son of special teamer and safety Cody Davis announced his father’s return to the Patriots on a two-year contract.

Looks like you have some new competition Adam Schefter.
An eight-year NFL veteran, Cody Davis tallied nine special teams tackles and played 65 percent of special teams snaps for the Patriots in 2020, but perhaps his most memorable moment came in week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers when he blocked a field goal that was then returned by Devin McCourty for a touchdown.
Davis played in 13 of 16 games for the Patriots, but missed some time due to a rib ailment and landed on injured reserve.
Before signing with the Patriots, Davis spent five years with the Rams as an undrafted free agent before playing two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In 110 career NFL games, Davis has five starts, 92 tackles, two interceptions and eight pass breakups.
As of this time, no word on when Bill Belichick plans to sign his son Kane.
