Former New England Patriots Tom Brady and Rob Gonkowski finished off another Super Bowl championship together last night, dominating the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 31-9 to prevent a repeat and give the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their second title in franchise history.

The victory marked Brady and Gronk’s fourth ring together but of course, their first without the Patriots.

Brady’s seven Super Bowl titles are now two more than any other player and one more than any franchise in NFL history, his performance also earned him his fifth Super Bowl MVP award, another league record.

As for Gronkowski, the future Hall of Fame tight end put on a vintage performance, hauling in two touchdowns to set the record for most playoff touchdowns by one quarterback-to-receiver combination, breaking a tie with San Francisco 49ers all-time greats Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. The duo now stands alone with 14 touchdowns all-time, two ahead of Montana and Rice.

Following the win, there remained plenty of love and support for Brady and Gronkowski from many of their old Patriots teammates watching from home.

Seahawks and Chiefs were the last two teams to attempt a repeat Super Bowl Championship.

Both campaigns foiled by teams led by Tom Brady, the last Qb to win back to back championships

The Patriots organization also made sure to congratulate Brady while sharing a funny jab at Gronkowski over Twitter.

And Gronk, be careful with that trophy…
