VIDEO: A Look Back At The Patriots Super Bowl XLIX Championship Six Years Later
Six years ago tonight, the New England Patriots won their fourth Super Bowl championship, preventing the Seattle Seahawks from being the first repeat champion since the Patriots themselves ten years earlier.
The win also ended a Patriots decade-long championship drought as they exercised their demons from the two previous heartbreaking Super Bowl losses to the New York Giants.
On Twitter Monday, the Patriots took a look back at the memorable night on its anniversary, sharing sights and sounds footage from the dramatic 24-20 victory that came down to one final play at the goal line.

Julian Edelman was also in a reminiscing mood, sharing a photo from his game winning touchdown that day with a caption that read “you never forget your first”.
The Patriots of course, went on to play in three more Super Bowls following this game, winning two, but this specific game will always be a top “remember where you were” moment for Pats fans everywhere.
