Last week, former New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio was formally hired as the new general manager of the Houston Texans.
A member of the Patriots in a variety of front office roles dating back to 2001, Caserio has been apart of all six Super Bowl championships and was in his current position from 2008 through last season.
On Friday, Head Coach Bill Belichick released a statement thanking Caserio for his time in New England.

The departure of Caserio continues a trend of substantial turnover within the Patriots organization dating back to 2018, as Ian Logue highlighted last week.
As for who replaces Caserio, it remains unknown at this time, but Patriots assistant director of player personnel Dave Ziegler, is considered an internal favorite to land the job.
On Sunday, Ziegler withdrew his name from the Denver Broncos GM search and reportedly remains committed to the Patriots.
