During the New England Patriots Monday Night Football matchup with the Buffalo Bills, the team celebrated Health Care Hero Appreciation Night as the world beyond football continues its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Before the game, the Patriots twitter account shared a special message featuring a few members of the team thanking health care workers while sharing some of their own personal connections.
The video features appearances by Stephon Gilmore, Gunner Olszewski, Adrian Phillips, and Chase Winovich.

In addition to the thank you message, the Patriots also honored health care workers with cardboard cutouts in the Gillette Stadium stands featuring the photographs of fans who contribute on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Healthcare workers were allowed to submit a photograph for free, while all other fans could participate by making a $75 donation to the American Nurses Foundation.
Over 900 cutouts were scattered around the lower bowl and the field level Optum lounge.
Nearly one thousand cardboard cutouts – countless reasons to be thankful.
