While Julian Edelman’s return to the football field remains unknown as he recovers from knee surgery, he’s still finding ways to keep himself in good spirits over social media.

Earlier this week, Edelman wished teammate JC Jackson a “Happy Birthday” with a funny edit to an old “Jackson 5” album cover he shared over Instagram.

“@patriots I see your Jackson 5 and raise you one @jcjackson_7 HBD stud”, Edelman wrote in a caption referencing his now NFL-leading six interceptions on the season.

During Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, Jackson set a Patriots team record when he recorded an interception in his fifth consecutive game. Since the start of 2018, Jackson leads the NFL with 14 interceptions.

After initially being left off the Pro Bowl fan ballot during its debut Tuesday, Jackson was added on Wednesday following social media outcry.

Jackson, who turned 25 on Tuesday, will look to continue his Pro Bowl caliber season as he seeks a big pay day in free agency this      offseason.

“He has a real good knack for finding the ball,” head coach Bill Belichick said. “He has good hands, quick hands and the ability to locate and catch the ball without seeing it all the way in.”

Jackson will look to continue his interception streak on Sunday against a 2-7 Texans team in Houston.
