(PHOTO: Greg M. Cooper - USA TODAY Sports) On Wednesday, New England Patriots Tackle Isaiah Wynn released a 13-minute mini-documentary over his Instagram page covering his life, his family, mentors and journey to the NFL.
The documentary begins with a look back at the start of Wynn’s football career in high school while facing family challenges growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida to his arrival at the University of Georgia where he became first-team all SEC and started 41 games in four seasons.
During his childhood, his family developed the ‘Win with Wynn” mantra meant to uplift “one another because at some point in life, it gets rough. You won’t always be upbeat and happy. You’ll have your days when the world seems to weigh on you. But as long as you have a supportive circle, I promise you, you can make it through”, Wynn wrote in a description on Instagram.
In 2018, the Patriots would select Wynn with the 23rd overall pick, but even more challenges and adversity followed over the next two years.
Wynn would miss his entire rookie season after suffering a torn achillies and in 2019 returned to injured reserve in week two after a toe injury.
Now entering his third professional season in 2020, Wynn looks to take over at starting left tackle and become the consistent and healthy player the Patriots envisioned protecting their quarterbacks.
