Wednesday marked the 7th anniversary of the tragic terrorist attack that claimed the lives of three innocent souls and injured over 200 more at the 2013 Boston Marathon.
A fourth victim, MIT police officer Sean Collier was killed in the ensuing manhunt for the terrorists.
New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman joined many other Bostonian’s in honoring “One Boston Day”, a special day of reflection every April 15th in the city.
I have proclaimed April 15, 2020, a citywide day of reflection, prayer, and unity.
— Mayor Marty Walsh (@marty_walsh) April 15, 2020
“7 years ago today. #BostonStrong”, Edelman wrote in a caption accompanied by a photo from the marathon finish line featuring a soldier.
Due to coronavirus concerns, the 2020 Boston Marathon was rescheduled for September 14th.
