The Patriots jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter courtesy of the “boogeymen” defense, a squirrel, and the Cleveland Browns beating themselves.

That touchdown by Brady to Edelman is his 12th passing TD of the season, which sets a new record for most single-season passing touchdowns by a player 42 or older, passing Warren Moon, who had 11 in 1998.

In the second quarter, the Browns cut into the Patriots lead courtesy of a Baker Mayfield touchdown pass to Demetrius Harris.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: This is the first time under Bill Belichick that the Patriots have had 3 takeaways in the 1st quarter. They're also the first team with 3 first-quarter takeaways this season.

A 17-7 New England lead was taken to halftime.

Huge Play by James White!!! Play goes for 59-yards, the longest pass play of the year, eclipsing Phillip Dorsett's 58yd touchdown reception back in Week 1 vs Pittsburgh.

Opponents coming into today were just 5/13 (38.5%) for 78yds and 3 INTs facing 3rd-and-10 against the Patriots' defense this season.

Make it 5/14.

— PatsFans.com (@PatsFans) October 27, 2019

In the fourth quarter the Patriots defense shut down the Browns the remainder of the game.

A field goal by both sides concluded the scoring as the Patriots improved to 8-0 with a 27-13 victory.

The Patriots win on Sunday guaranteed a .500 or better record for the 19th consecutive year and their 27th undefeated month since 2000.

The win also extended their NFL record for the most regular-season wins in a decade to 121.

Let that sink in…
