The New England Patriots announced that former linebacker Jack Rudolph passed away on June 23rd at the age of 82.
Rudolph played for the Boston Patriots from 1960 through 1965, finishing his career with the Miami Dolphins in 1966.
In 1963, Rudolph helped the Patriots earn a trip to the 1963 AFL Championship.
Following his career, Rudolph spent 31 years as a coach and teacher at Valdosta High School (GA.), serving 25 of those years as the defensive coordinator.
Rudolph helped the school earn eleven state championships and five national titles.
According to the Patriots, A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Valdosta, Ga. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
