Dissatisfied with his teams offensive performance on Friday night, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady quickly turned the page Saturday.

On Instagram, Brady shared a reminder to fans that the regular season opener against the Houston Texans is an appropriate 12 days away.

“One Step Closer. #12Days” Brady said in a caption.

Brady completed 12 of 18 passes for 102 yards against the Carolina Panthers but couldn’t find the end zone for any touchdowns in the half he played, coming away with three total points off a Stephen Gostkowski field goal.

After the game, Brady expressed his frustrations with the offense.

“I think any time you go on the road and play a good team you’ve got to make the plays. I think tonight’s a great example when you don’t and they do,” Brady told the media. “We didn’t do much in the first quarter and got behind. Then you fight uphill all night against a good team it’s tough to win.”

“We’re not out there to go out and punt or kick field goals. We’re out there to score points and hopefully score touchdowns. Our execution needs to be better. I mean you look back at a lot of the things I thought about in the second half, all the things that we could do: it’s a lot of us. It’s not so much what the other team is doing, although it’s a very good defense, our base execution needs to be better.”

The Patriots head to MetLife Stadium to play the New York Giants next Friday in the preseason finale, but Brady in all likelihood won’t be seen taking snaps again until the home opener September 9th.

We’re onto Houston.
