On Wednesday it was announced that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week and running back Dion Lewis earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for their individual performances during the teams 41-16 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 10.
On Sunday, Brady completed 25-of-34 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns to zero interceptions. Brady earned his 86th career road victory, supassing Peyton Manning for most all time.
Lewis returned a kickoff 103 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, it was his first career regular season kick return. He previously made a 98 yard return for a touchdown against the Houston Texans in the 2016 Divisional round.
With the honor, Brady continues to add to his record total of Weekly Awards, today marked the 30th time Brady has earned a Player of the Week award and the third time in 2017 (Week 2 and 3).
Lewis became the first Patriot to receive a Special Teams Player of the Week award since Julian Edelman in 2014.
The duel awards marked the first time since Week 12 of 1998 that two Patriots earned weekly honors in the same week, Drew Bledsoe as AFC Offensiver Player and kicker Adam Vinatieri as AFC Special Teams.
