Ahead of Saturday’s fourth to seventh rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady shared an inspirational message over his Instagram account reminding players selected today just how many lower round selections contributed to his teams Super Bowl 51 championship.
Brady, a noted 2000 sixth rounder, posted a picture of himself hugging 2009 seventh rounder wide reciever Julian Edelman following the victory in Houston with the caption “#199 + #232 + 5 undrafted in the huddle = 51.”
