On January 27th 2000, the New England Patriots offically hired Bill Belichick as the 12th head coach in franchise history.
17 remarkable years later, his starting quarterback took time on Instagam to reminisce on the anniversary of his hiring as quarterback Tom Brady was apart of Belichick’s first draft class.
Posting a photograph of himself and Belichick following their Super Bowl XXXVI victory, Brady wrote the following caption;
“Seventeen years ago today, Mr. Kraft hired the only professional head coach I have ever had. And there is no other coach I would ever want to play for! Coach, thanks for taking a chance on me 17 years ago too!!”
