For the second time this season and 27th time in his career, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his victorious 30-17 performance over the San Francisco 49ers.

The selection ties Peyton Manning for most in NFL history.

On Sunday, Brady completed 24 of 40 passes for 280 yards with four touchdown passes and zero interceptions. It marked the 21st time in his career he had a game of four touchdown passes without an interception thrown.

It is the seventh time in 2016 that a Patriots player has earned an NFL honor. Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his Week 5 performance at Cleveland and AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.

Other Patriots to receive honors included kicker Stephen Gostkowski being named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Week 1 win at Arizona and punter Ryan Allen was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance vs. Houston in Week 3.

Running back LeGarrette Blount was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, while linebacker Dont’a Hightower earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a Week 6 win vs. Cincinnati.

The most notable play from Sunday’s game saw Brady throw his longest touchdown pass of the season 56 yards to rookie Malcolm Mitchell.
