Kevin Hoffman - USA TODAY Sports
Following the New England Patriots 41-25 blowout win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, tight end Rob Gronkowski took a moment of time during his postgame press conference to thank his mother for her support during his now-record breaking career.
(Via WEEI) “The first thing yesterday — we sat down and I saw her — she came to our hotel and when we sat down she said, ‘Rob, I’m so proud of you when you score your 69th touchdown,’” Gronkowski said after the game. “I was like, I have to give her a shoutout that she is super proud of me. Hi, mom. Thank you.”

After recording a 53-yard touchdown reception from Tom Brady, Gronkowski moved into first place on the Patriots all time touchdown list with 69, surpassing wideout Stanley Morgan who played for the team from 1977-1989.
Stanley Morgan scored 68 touchdowns in 180 games. Rob Gronkowski has scored 69 touchdowns in 86 games.

According to Gronk, Morgan called him after the game to offer his congratulations, but also admitted he hasn’t watched much film on Morgan’s career and would like an opportunity to meet him in the future.
