REPORT: Patriots Communication System Failed During Game
Scott Galvin - USA TODAY Sports
In a story first reported by Comcast SportsNet New England’s Tom E. Curran, it was discovered that the New England Patriots coaching staff’s headsets were not working properly during the Bengals game on Sunday.
According to Curran, the situation was so bad both head coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia were forced to signal in plays “old school” after the headsets were deemed completely “unreliable.”
Patriots sideline communications/headsets today were a disaster. Team eventually threw up hands as it wasn't getting better.

This marks the second instance this season technology has failed the Patriots as head coach Bill Belichick was caught on camera spiking a Microsoft Surface tablet in disgust just two weeks ago.
Also, Surface tablets have been a tough go for the coaching staff for weeks in terms of reliability I was told.

The #Patriots headsets went out yesterday. Can't wait until NFL fines them for doing this to themselves.

It is unknown if Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had anything to do with the situation.
