ICYMI: Patriots Featured In Parody During Episode of “The Simpsons”
Chuck Cook - USA TODAY Sports
On Sunday night, the animated cartoon comedy show “The Simpsons” aired a Boston-themed episode entitled “The Town” and within it contained some funny jabs geared towards the local pro football franchise.
As said in the episode’s synopsis;
“After Homer catches Bart rooting for Springfield’s football rival, the Boston Americans, he plans a family “hate-cation” trip to Boston in an attempt to show Bart that Boston is a terrible city.”
The Americans are a direct parody of the New England Patriots as evident by the following videos with jokes geared towards head coach Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and Rob Gronkowski.
