On Tuesday afternoon the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook releases their advanced betting lines, also known as look-ahead lines. These early lines give some clairvoyant types an opportunity to roll the dice on games still a week and a half away. There are times when public reaction to the most recent game clouds reality, and for a moment one can exploit the odds on an overrated or underrated team.

There are no early pick’ems, but two games do have a one point line. The 3-0 Philadelphia Eagles are one point underdogs at Detroit, and Dallas is a somewhat surprising one point home favorite over Cincinnati.

What is not a surprise is that the New England Patriots are the week’s largest favorite. The Pats are giving away ten and a half points even though they are on the road, albeit at Cleveland.

In the primary games of interest in the AFC the Broncos are favored by 6½ over Atlanta and Pittsburgh is a seven point favorite over the Jets. Elsewhere in the AFC East the Dolphins are favored by four against Tennessee, and the Rams are two and a half point favorites versus Buffalo.

At first glance the best bets appear to be Cincinnati +1 at Dallas, Carolina -7½ versus Tampa Bay and Denver -6½ versus Atlanta.

Here are all of the early advanced betting lines for NFL Week Five. Jacksonville, Kansas City, New Orleans will be off with a bye.
